My entry in the #SabaccCaseChallenge (Summer 2023).
NOT FOR SALE
The goal was to envision and craft an in-universe Sabacc Case with a backstory. My Sabacc set started with the cards my friend Jason brought back for me from Galaxy’s Edge. The credit chips I acquired in an exchange with AFAY Props and Replicas. The dice I made from aluminum and the symbols are acid etched. The dealer token I made from a brass covertec lightsaber knob, brass drawer handle, and plastic fawcett. The stylized “D” symbol is acid etched.
The look is inspired by the Star Wars scanning crates in A New Hope, and the 70’s era Kenner Gonk action figure.
The story…
This case once belonged to Crimson Dawn as evidenced by the prominent symbol. I think it’s probably stolen. There’s a blaster mark on the back. Perhaps it was used as a shield in the escape. This is a case for someone who lives dangerously. Play at your own risk!
I made two detailed videos showing all the construction techniques.
